ATTRACTION OF LADAKH : STOK PALACE

A 14th century palace, Stok Palace wore the crown of being the royal abode of Ladakh’s rulers after they left for the Leh Palace. A palatial palace built by Lama Lhawang Lotus, a visit to Stok Palace is included in almost all the Leh Ladakh tour packages. Located only 15km from the centre of Leh, it is the perfect place to revisit history and explore the grandeurs of the past.

Though the entire of Stok Palace is not open for visitors, yet visitors can explore much while visiting the museum within the complex. Called as the Stok Palace Museum, it is open for tourists and has a large collection of artefacts, relics, photographs, collection of arms, weapons, and lot more. Undoubtedly one of the best places to visit in Ladakh, Stok Palace remains open from 08:00AM to 05:00PM throughout the week.
