By Rail – The closest railway station to Kashmir is in Jammu, 300kms away, approximately. Srinagar has no operating railway stations and hence from Jammu, a road trip to Kashmir is the only option. The railway station – Jammu Tawi is well connected to the Indian rail system.

By Air – For June, the most convenient way to reach Kashmir is by flight. June is the monsoon season and travelling by road is not preferable. So, the easiest and fastest way is by flight. The festival is celebrated to mark the birth of Padmasambhava, founder of Tibetan Buddhism. A two days celebration takes place during the Tibetan lunar month in the courtyard of this monastery.
