Day 01: Delhi to Leh
We take a flight to Leh. We spend the rest of the day and night in hotel. We can also explore the place in the evening. This is just so that we all get accustomed to the climate.
Day 02: Leh
We spend the entire day in Leh again so that we can get acclimatized even more. We go to practice hike for some time, so that it does not become difficult to trek the actual mountain. We spend the night in hotel.
Day 03: Leh to Zingchan
We drive towards Spitok, the nearest road access to the Stok Kangri. We then walk for four hours till we reach Zingchan. We spend the night in a camp.
Day 04: Zingchan to Stok La
We trek to the base of Stok La which is a pass below the mountain. We trek the barren lunar landscape of Ladakh. The weather is hot in daytime and cold at night. After reaching our destination, we have a hot meal and great sleep.
Day 05: Stok La to Mankorma
We trek the pass and then reach Mankorma. We then camp there. This place is very mush picturesque and the Stok Kangri looks great from here. This pass also offers the route to the summit from the camp.
Day 06: Mankorma to Base Camp
We head as early as possible to reach our base camp. Since we have a complete day for rest, we take lunch and a short climb from the camp so that we can acclimatize even more. We go for almost 100 m and then retrace our paths. We then make preparations to sleep so that we abound in energies.
Day 07: Base Camp to Stok Kangri
We start early for the best weather conditions and maybe a sunrise. We go on a ridge to a glacier, where we ascend to the summit. This takes the most courage and strength. We can see Karakoram Range, K2, Zansker range and Tibet.
It is a spare day at summit.
Day 09: Base Camp to Stok Village to Leh
We return to the Stok village where we pass various old forts and castles. Then we reach Leh and stay at hotel.
Day 10: Leh to Khardung La and return
We drive to the destination at an altitude of 5600m that gets us dizzy. The view is amazing. We stay at hotel for night.
Day 11: Leh to Delhi
We take the return flight to Delhi.

Day 01: Dellhi-Leh
Via early morning flight to Leh, you will reach the destination. We will receive you at the airport from where our team member will head you towards the hotel. The first day is exclusively meant for acclimatization. Leh being situated at an altitude of 11,000 ft; has relatively thin atmosphere. Welcome dinner at the hotel later in the evening and a preview of the entire trip will be presented. Overnight stay.
Day 02: Explore the local market
Day two is an opportunity to sneak into the narrow market lanes of Leh that reflect the local culture, tradition and day to day household activities. Some of the world’s most exquisitely crafted artifacts can be easily found here. The markets are heavily influenced and inspired by Buddhism. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03: Local sightseeing at Leh
Day three will start from breakfast at the hotel. Our representative will walk you around the picturesque locations of Leh like Victory peak, Leh palace, the old quarters and offices. After full day sightseeing, you will stay at hotel overnight.
Day 04: Leh – Phey – Hemis National Park (12400 ft)
Day 4 will again start with breakfast at the hotel. We will then proceed to Phey from where the trek will begin. Along the mystic beauty of Indus valley gorge, we will enter the Hemis National Park. A chance to camp out in the wild, dinner will be prepared then and there. Overnight stay in the camp.
Day 05: Hemis National Park
After breakfast in the morning, trekking around the region will start with our experts. The view is enthralling and the national park has a distinct wildlife comprising of Argali, blue sheep, mountainous birds and numerous migratory birds that find solace in this chilly foreign land. Sighting a snow leopard is much likely due to their movement towards lower elevations during winter. Dinner and night stay in the tent.
Day 06 to 11: Home stay in Villages, Village sightseeing and wildlife experiences<
These 5 days are designed to bring our guests closer to the everyday Ladakhi lifestyle and the natural greenery and wildlife that surround the region. Home stays, with the encapsulating warmth and hospitality a perfect way to blend into the lives of the local villagers. These members are conservationists of the wildlife in the region, specially the snow leopard. Living in local home stays will provide you a close association to local culture and wildlife viewing from a different perspective will be an exotic experience.
Day 12: Trek to Zingchen – Leh
After breakfast, we will move for trekking to Zingchan. From here, we will drive you back to Leh. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 13: Leh – Delhi
Transfer to Delhi Airport in the morning to catch the flight.
DAY 01: Delhi – Leh (3500m) by flight
We start the tour from Delhi by taking a flight for Leh. You will meet our representative at Leh who will assist you there. Transfer to a pre-booked hotel in Leh and all day is kept for acclimatization. You can walk around the nature, visit markets of Leh which is very colorful. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 02: Visiting Indus valley monasteries
You will visit Shey which inhabits in the old summer palace of The Kings of Ladakh, it has Gompa shelters which is an amazing Buddha Statue of 12 meters. Then there is Thiksey monastery, which located on the top of hill overhanging the Indus Valley. Another one, the Hemis Gompa is known as one of the largest in Ladakh. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 03: Leh to Phyang (3600m) by bus (1h) and walk towards Taru (3700m)
You visit the Phyang Monastery and followed by a pleasant walk around the site. Rest of the day is again for acclimatization at this new altitude. Dinner and overnight stay in the camp.
DAY 04 : Taru – Taru La (4200m) – Nyemo (3700m)
The trail climbs steeply towards the first pass of the trek, and descends to the Nyemo village. Dinner & overnight stay in tent.
DAY 05 : Nyemo – Nie (3800m)
The route traverses Basgo, dominated by impressive ruined fortresses. A quite striking succession of shortens, sanctuaries and a palace line the path. Dinner & overnight stay in tent.
DAY 06 : Nie – Likir (3600m)
We enter an arid and bare landscape. Visit of the Likir monastery, one of the oldest in Ladakh. Dinner & overnight stay in tent.
DAY 07: Likir – Yangthang (3600m)
The route goes through two low passes, the Phobe La (3700m) and the Charatse La (3800m), opening to beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Dinner & overnight stay in tent.
DAY 08 : Yangthang – Hemis Shukpachan (3600m)
En route, visit of the Ridzong monastery, which is set in stunning surroundings and hidden amongst the hills. After a tiny pass, we descend towards Hemis Shukpachan. Overnight stay in tent.
DAY 09 : Hemis Shukpachan – Temisgang (3700m)
This part of the trail has been carved out from the ochre rocks into a balcony. We climb towards two passes at 4000m and arrive at Ang. Then, on to Temisgang, ancient capital of the Sham Kingdom, and its monastery. Overnight stay in tent.
DAY 10 : Temisgang – Lamayuru – Leh by bus.
En route, visit of the Lamayuru and Alchi monasteries. Overnight stay in hotel.
DAY 11 : Leh – Delhi by plane
Morning transfer to the Airport to catch the flight for Delhi.

DAY 01: Arrive Delhi
On your Arrival in Delhi, you will be warm welcomed by company officials and taken to pre-booked hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 02: Delhi – Leh (Complete Rest in Leh for acclimatisation)
Catch the early morning flight for Leh from Delhi. On arrival at Leh our representative would be there to receive you and transfer to pre booked hotel or guest house for acclimatisation as it is necessary to get acclimatised at high altitude. In evening one can visit the colourful market of Leh. Overnight stay in the hotel or guesthouse.
DAY 03: Leh – Shey – Thiksey – Hemis
On this day you will go and enjoy a sightseeing trip to some ancient monasteries in this area.
Shey Gompa about 15 km from Leh and which is used to be the summer palace of kings of Ladakh. Even you will find lot many Stupas and Gompas built around the palace. In the beginning 17th century AD Shey palace was built by Deldan Namgyal. Main attraction in Shey is 12m Shakyamuni Buddha statue inside the Dresthang Gompa.
Thiksey Gompa, close to Shey is about 17 km from Leh. It is one of the most beautiful monasteries in Ladakh and belongs to the Gelukspa order.
Hemis, about 45 km south of Leh, is one of the most famous and largest monasteries in Ladakh. It belongs to Drukpa order and was founded in the early 17th century. It is perfectly built monastery cradled in a lovely valley surrounded by streams and fronted by long Mani walls.
DAY 04: Leh – Khardung La – Kyagar
After having early breakfast we will drive to Kyagar Village. En-route, you will cross the world highest motorable pass Khardung La to experience the real adventure. Then visit Samstanling Monastery and sightseeing in village. Overnight stay in a hotel.
DAY 05: Kyagar – Hunder
Drive via Diskit Monastery to first camp at Hundar where you may get a chance for a short ride on a Bactrian camel.
DAY 06: Hunder – Skarchen
Trek through an impressive gorge to the shepherds’ huts at Skarchen (3800m) at the confluence of two streams where we set up camp.
DAY 07: Skarchen – Brok Yogma
Trek to Brok Yogma (4200m) passing through the tiny settlements of Wacham Dokyogma and Drokyogama. Stay at camp Sniu Sumdo, overnight.
DAY 08: Brok Yogma – Hundar Valley
In the morning, continue trekking up to the Hundar Valley to the foot of the Lasermo La and stay in camp overnight.
DAY 09: Hundar Valley – Lasermo La – Phyang Valley
An early morning start for our crossing of the Lasermo La (5420m) and descend into the Phyang Valley. Overnight camp at an altitude around 4500 metres.
DAY 10: Phyang Valley – Leh
Descend to Phyang to get our jeeps or transport for the driving back to Leh. Check in the hotel and stay overnight.
DAY 11: Leh – Delhi
Transfer to the airport for the spectacular flight across the Himalaya to Delhi with unforgettable memories of your Nubra Valley Trek. Depart from Delhi and get transfer to airport for onward journey.
The trekking expedition to Southern Zanskar begins at Delhi and goes all the way up to Phitse la the highest point scaling 5526m and then back to Delhi. Our trip will span around 3 weeks with occasional camping at various picturesque spots. The trip is generally held in the period between June-October.
DAY 1: Trip Begins
After all the members for the trip congregate at Delhi, we begin our journey to Manali by a luxurious air conditioned Volvo bus sharp at 6pm and after an overnight journey we reach Manali by morning.
DAY 2: Arrival at Manali
After arrival at Manali we arrange for the guest’s comfortable stay at a suitable hotel. Our guides can take the trekking trip members for sightseeing to places like Vashist Hot Springs, Hadimba Devi temple etc. The following night is spent in the hotel.
DAY 3: Manali-Darcha (3400m)
We have a quick morning breakfast and start for Darcha along the river Beas through numerous villages and across the famous Rohtang pass (4050m). Then we drive to Grampu up until the passport check point at Koksar. After arrival at the Keylong the tribal district, we set camp at the river side in Darcha and stay overnight in the tent.
DAY 4: Zanskar Sumdo- The trek begins
We briefly drive to proper Darcha and then to Rarig from where the journey on foot begins. With a maximum elevation of 3640m and a trek lasting for 8 hours our journey will be along the Barai Nullah valley through Palamo village followed by a journey across a field of boulders and finally arrive at our campsite and set camp for the night.
DAY 5: Acclimatization
We will have a relaxing day in the campsite and try to adapt to the climate and the surroundings with overnight stay in the tents.
DAY 6: Chuminakpo, 4500m above the sea
We will have some serious trekking today starting with crossing the river over a hanging bridge followed by a high strenuous climb lasting for an hour. Later we lead you to the meadows of Ramjak and then reach Chuminakpo (4800m) before night sets in.
DAY 7: Lahkhang (4300m) over Shingo la (5090m)
Our journey continues further up the terrain via innumerable frozen rivers and lakes, moraines, snowcapped glaciers and valleys. One can notice many prayer flags across their journey and descent to the Zanskar valley. To arrive at our campsite on the banks of Lhakhang Chhu we have to cross Kargyak Chhu.
DAY 8: Lukung – Kargyak (4060m)
Our eighth day begins with a relatively simple trek along Kargyak Chhu. Along our journey to the Kargyak village we come across several flocks of yaks and marmots and other wildlife. The village houses a small Gompa on top of it. The entire trek lasts for roughly 5hrs.
DAY 9: Purni (3800m)
Our trek continues through Tanze, Testa and Yal. One can experience the farmers at work in their fields singing their regional folk songs. We set camp after reaching Purni located at the conjunction of Tsarap and Kargyak Chhu.
DAY 10: Phugtal Gompa (3850m)
On the 10th day we march for the scenic monastery Phuktal Gompa perched high atop the cliff of the mountain. This is reached by traversing through a gorge to the Tsarap river after making a climb along the Kargyak river. We then stay overnight at our camp after spending some time at the monastery.
DAY 11: Tanze
We trail back our steps to Tanze in a 4hr trek and rest for the remainder of the day.
DAY 12: High Camp (4800m)
We trace our way towards the Phitse la through gorges and wide plateaus from Tanze and try to set up base as near to the pass as possible.
DAY 13: Phitse la (5526m)
Probably the highlight of our trek, we make a steep climb up the slope to reach Phitse la. One gets treated with amazing views of the spectacular Himalayan range and glaciers. A brief detour offers an amazing sight of the serene Zaskar range. The decent to Lingti river is quite strenuous with steep slopes and rocky ridges. We camp by the river and stay overnight in the tent.
DAY 14: Lingti Camp (4400m)
On our reverse journey we follow the Lingti river till it meets the Tsarap river and make camp for the day. Along our backward journey we come across various meadows, ridges studded with juniper and meandering streams too.
DAY 15: Kilong Sarai (4600m)
As we journey to our finish, the valley spreads and we camp in a grassy meadow after a trek of 4 hrs.
We drive towards kilong – headquarter of Lahaul valley and on arrival stay in hotel.
We travel back to Manali through scenic locations and one can take pictures at Rohtang pass across the way.
Complete day to relax in Manali and by evening we start for Delhi.
We reach Delhi early morning.
DAY 01- Delhi to Leh
Once the visitor reaches Delhi, our guide provides further assistance to Leh by flight running by domestic flight services in the morning so that we reach Leh during day-time and check into the guest house where we would acclimatize overnight and introduce you to the jolly companions of the trip as well as to the startling beauty of the surroundings, before starting our trekking trip next day.
DAY 02- Leh- Shey- Thiksey- Hemis
Our trip starts in the morning with the sightseeing of places around Leh and pay visit to some of the astonishing monasteries of the area like Shey Gompa which is about 15 kms from Leh, Thiksey Gompa, near to Shey and is 17 kms from Leh and Hemis, which is about 45 kms from Leh. We will spent the whole day and stay overnight in the valley visiting such dwelling of peace amidst gleeful streams and harmonious peaks.
DAY 03- Leh to Wanla via Lamayuru.
After breakfast we will drive off to Lamayuru on our jeep and reach there in about three hours, once we reach Lamayuru and we guide you to the ancient monastery of Lamayuru, our trekking trip will start and our first stopping destination would be Wanla which we would reach in an hour or two via Prinkti la, a small pass at an altitude of 3750 m. after reaching here we would take halt and have smacking dinner and overnight stay in guest house.
DAY 04- Wanlu to Hinju
Our today’s reaching destination would be the meadows on the outskirts of the village of Hinju. Experience the 5 hr of trekking journey through the mountainous villages situated at the height of 3720 mts and get the experience of the rugged, rustic and traditional life here.
DAY 05- Hinju to Sumdo Doksa
Journey of this day is a bit strenuous as we will ascend through the Kongskil La ridge but the exotic sight of the Stok (one of the most beautiful) and Karakoram ranges will steal away all the exhaust of the trek. If you want to get more thrills out of the trek then we have other option of a side pass which is scree and a bit difficult to move.
DAY 06- Sumda Doksa to Base of Dung Chan La
Get ready with the camera to capture the lovely, rare endemic flowers of the valley of base of Dung Dung Chan la where we would reach after crossing a few playful rivers of the village of Sumdo Chenmo, but be ready to feel the chill of the ascend of the way which is at a height of 4430 mts and it would take us about 5 hrs to trek here.
DAY 07- Base of Dung Dung La to Chilling
This day would give you the crisp of the journey when we will ascend to the straight climb starting from the Dung Dung Chan La pass to reach the village of Chilling. To make your expedition cheerful our jeep would reach here and pick you up and drop you off at Leh to spend the next day chilling in the village of Chilling.
DAY 08- Exploration at Chilling
On this day we would assist you to explore the village of Chilling, which is one of the largest villages of Leh and you would find many hikers chilling here like you would be doing and is a place to share the warm experiences in the Chilling. Informing you more about this village it is the only village in Ladakh that provides the area with the metal works of copper, tin, silver, bronze and iron which is further sent to the Leh market, since past many centuries, so don’t forget to buy some memoirs from here.
DAY 09- Chilling to Leh
This day is to say good bye to this place, we would drive back along the Zanskar river and passing through the confluence of Zanskar and Indus river we will reach Leh where you will be welcomed back with the dinner and cozy overnight stay.
DAY 10- Leh to Delhi
In the morning we would assist you to the airport to catch the flight to Delhi, where on arrival our guides will assist you to the hotel for some refreshments and then to the sightseeing places of Delhi like Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Jama Masjid , Gandhi Memorial and places likewise.
With the end of this 10th day our services and assistance would end.
